The Facilities at FireAntFarm
One pole barn with 12 stalls, feed room, large tack room, bathroom, laundry room and office. All stalls are 12X12, they include automatic waters, hay racks and ceiling fans above each stall. All stalls are cleaned daily. This main barn is where all the boarded horses will be kept. There are also 3 indoor wash racks that have overhead fans for drying and hot and cold water. The other barn, a cement block barn. Has 4 smaller stalls. This barn houses our lesson-program horses. It is also where our hay and feed is stored.

The Paddocks
We have 3 large paddocks, 5 smaller paddocks and one large 2 acre grass field. All paddocks have some shade. All fencing is white vinyl. Horses can be turned out as much or as little as needed according to their needs. To the left is a picture of our large grass field. The two pictures to the right are of the smaller paddocks and a view of the large ones from in the garden.
The Ring
We have a very large ring that has footing made of a base of limestone with a top of sand and rubber pieces. It is regularly grated to keep it in good shape. We have plenty of white vinyl jump standards and poles to create a very effective training area. There is plenty of shade for resting during those hot summer days. And visitors can watch by sitting under a large oak tree on Fire Ant Island.

The shavings are covered with a tarp to keep them from getting wet in those many Florida summer rain storms. |
